ORGANISATION

The Direcció General de Política Lingüística (General Directorate for Language Policy) in the autonomous government of Catalonia is the body responsible for analysing, managing, planning, coordinating and executing the language policy of the Government of Catalonia. It was created by the first democratically elected government of the Generalitat de Cataluyna in 1980 and it is part of de Department of Culture.
