Kielilähettiläätrt | Språkambassadörerna rf(Language Ambassadors) isa Finnish organisation working at the grassroots level to promote bilingualism in Finland. While Finland is officially a bilingual country, many students struggle with a lack of motivation to learn the other national language , asking themselves, “Why shouldI learn Finnish/Swedish?” – our language ambassadors have an answer. 

The ambassadorsvisit schools and universities across Finland, sharing their personal stories of how and why they have learned the language, and what opportunities it has opened for them. They inspire and motivate students through their own experiences to see bilingualismas something valuable and worth working for. 

In addition tothe school visits in Finland, we also coordinate a language mentoring program for university students beginning their studies in Swedish, and a Swede in Finland program that strengthens cooperation between Sweden and Finland.
